Leather Scratch Remover & Conditioner – Repair Light Scratches and Scuffs

Quickly Hide Light Scratches, Scuffs and Wear Marks on Leather

Leather Scratch Remover: Effortlessly Erase Scratches and Wear Marks!

Leather Magic® Leather Scratch Remover & Conditioner is a pigmented leather conditioner designed to quickly improve the appearance of light scratches, scuffs, abrasions and worn areas on finished leather.

The easy wipe-on, wipe-off formula adds color to lightened scratch marks while conditioning the leather at the same time. It is an excellent quick-fix solution for leather furniture, car seats, automotive interiors, jackets, handbags, luggage, saddles and other finished leather items.

Unlike a simple leather recoloring balm, Leather Magic Scratch Remover is formulated to both hide minor surface damage and condition the leather, helping restore a more uniform appearance while keeping the leather soft and flexible.

Best for: light surface scratches, scuffs, abrasions and worn areas where the leather itself is not deeply damaged.

For deeper scratches, cuts, tears or areas where the leather finish has been removed, a complete leather repair and restoration system may be required.

What Can Leather Scratch Remover Fix?

Leather Scratch Remover is designed for minor surface damage where the leather has become lighter or discolored from everyday use.

It can help improve:

  • Light leather scratches
  • Surface scuffs
  • Minor abrasions
  • Lightened wear marks
  • Small areas where the finish has been rubbed
  • Scratches on leather furniture
  • Light scratches on car seats
  • Wear on leather jackets and clothing
  • Scratches on handbags and luggage
  • Minor wear on saddles and horse tack

It works particularly well on wax and oil pull-up leather where light scratches can leave contrasting marks on the surface.

How Does Leather Scratch Remover Work?

Light scratches often make leather appear lighter because the surface finish has been disturbed or the pigmented surface has been abraded.

Leather Magic Scratch Remover contains a pigmented conditioning compound that deposits color into these lightened areas. The result is a more uniform appearance without requiring a complete leather recoloring.

The product also contains conditioning ingredients that help maintain the leather’s softness and flexibility.

Because the product is intended for light surface damage, it does not replace leather that has actually been cut, torn or removed.

How to Use Leather Scratch Remover

Step 1 – Test first
Always test the product on a hidden area before treating the entire surface.

Step 2 – Clean the leather
Clean the surface thoroughly using Leather Magic Leather Cleaner. Allow the leather to dry completely.

Step 3 – Shake well
Shake the bottle thoroughly before use to evenly distribute the pigments.

Step 4 – Apply
Apply Leather Scratch Remover with a clean damp cloth, towel or sponge. Work the product over the affected area and surrounding leather.

Step 5 – Allow to penetrate
Let the product sit for several minutes so the conditioning and pigmentation can work into the surface.

Step 6 – Wipe and buff
Wipe away excess product and buff the leather with a clean, dry cloth.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Leather Scratch Remover repair deep scratches?

No. Leather Scratch Remover is designed for light surface scratches, scuffs and worn areas. Deep scratches that penetrate the leather may require leather filler and a leather repair/restoration kit.

Can I use Leather Scratch Remover on a leather couch?

Yes. It can be used on finished leather furniture, including leather sofas, couches, chairs and other upholstery, provided the leather is an appropriate finished/coated type.

Can I use it on leather car seats?

Yes. Leather Scratch Remover is suitable for many finished automotive leather interiors and can help improve light scratches and wear marks.

Will it change the original color of my leather?

The pigmented formula is designed to add color to lightened scratch areas. It does not recolor the entire piece like a leather dye or color restoration product.

Does Leather Scratch Remover work on dog scratches?

It can help with light surface scratches and scuffs from pets. If a dog’s claws have cut deeply into the leather, additional leather repair may be necessary.

Can I use it on suede or Nubuck?

No. Do not use this product on suede, Nubuck, full-aniline or other uncoated/unfinished leather.

Do I need an exact color match?

Not necessarily. The product is intended to blend into lightened surface areas rather than completely recolor the leather. However, choosing the closest appropriate color will generally provide the best visual result.

Will it leave a greasy residue?

When applied according to the directions and properly wiped and buffed, the product is designed to dry without leaving a transferable residue.
